CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

Entry Form     to be returned to the Secretary no later than Friday 24th September. Only items covered by an Entry Form and the correct handling fee will be accepted. Exhibition space is limited to approximately 450 paintings and Entries will close when this number is reached.

And be under 7 Kg

The committee reserves the right to reduce the number of items if space is restricted. The handling fee for all entries is non-returnable, even if the item is not hung. No change is to be made to the price of an item once the Entry Form has been received. If an item is withdrawn the handling fee is non-returnable.

 

Cheques to be made out to the "Rotary Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh"

 

Commission will be deducted: 25%.

 

Delivery of Artworks is to be made to St. Joseph’s Convent on Friday 8th October between Noon and 5pm. It would greatly assist the organisers if paintings are delivered as early as possible - especially the large ones.

 

Display Pictures These are the exhibits, which must be the work of the entrant. They must be labelled on the reverse with the artist's name and address along with the Title, Medium and Price. Not for sale are to be labelled N.F.S. Framed Pictures should have hooks and eyes and the cord should be taut - all ready for hanging. No clip frames are permitted.

Folio Pictures Folio Pictures should be mounted and covered with cellophane or plastic. They should be labelled in the same way as Display Pictures. They will be displayed in racks.

 

Conditions Low priced items may be grouped for entry at the discretion of the Committee. The Committee reserves the right to reject any item submitted and return the entry fee. Whilst normal care will be taken with the Artworks, the organisers hold no insurance for individual items, and cannot, therefore, accept any responsibility for loss or damage however caused. If you wish your works to be insured, then this is your responsibility.

 

Sale of Artworks Purchasers will be required to pay the sale price in full, and will be allowed to take away the artwork immediately after payment.

Preview   All entrants and their family and friends are cordially invited to a Preview, with nibbles and wine, on Friday 8th October between 7pm - 9pm at St. Joseph’s Convent. Tickets are limited and early purchase is recommended.

 

Collection No item is to be removed from the exhibition before the 4pm closing time on the Sunday, other than in exceptional circumstances and approved by the Committee member in charge. All exhibits must be collected from  between 4:30pm and 5:30pm on Sunday 27th September. No work may be removed by anyone other than an official steward, and must be registered by the collection officer at the end of the exhibition. Any picture or item not collected at the end of the Exhibition will be charged storage at the rate of £5 per item per week or part week. Collection must be arranged with the Secretary in advance.
